Intoxicated Man Arrested After Throwing Improvised Explosives Near Gurugram Nightclubs

Gurugram, Dec 10 (NationPress) A man has been detained in connection with the act of throwing improvised explosives outside two nightclubs in Gurugram during the early morning hours of Tuesday, as reported by officials.

The suspect was named as Sachin, hailing from the Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities also seized two crude explosives and other weapons from the scene.

As per police reports, the incident transpired at approximately 5:15 a.m. near two clubs situated in the Sector-29 area of Gurugram.

Initial investigations revealed that the suspect executed the act while under the influence of alcohol.

Shortly thereafter, law enforcement apprehended the individual.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Following the occurrence, Vikas Arora, the Commissioner of Gurugram Police, promptly arrived at the scene. The bomb disposal unit of Gurugram Police neutralized the crude explosives.

The spokesperson for Gurugram Police, Sandeep Kumar, noted that the Crime Branch and Special Task Force (STF) of the Haryana Police were questioning the suspect.

Gurugram Police urged citizens to report any suspicious individuals or items by contacting control room numbers 112, 0124-22216010, and 124-2316100.

Recently, five hotels in Gurugram received bomb threats via email, causing widespread alarm. It was reported that the hotels affected were situated in five distinct locations throughout the city.

Upon receiving the reports, Gurugram Police conducted a thorough search operation at the hotels with the bomb squad.

During the investigation, authorities found no suspicious items and deemed the threat to be a hoax.

Furthermore, Gurugram Police are attempting to trace the IP address of the individual who sent the email, with further inquiries ongoing.
