During his time in Rudraprayag, the Chief Minister noted that all ongoing construction and infrastructure projects associated with the yatra are advancing swiftly, with firm directives issued to ensure their completion within the established deadlines.
He highlighted that the primary objective of the state government is to provide a hassle-free experience for pilgrims, allowing them to have meaningful darshan and return with positive memories.
"All preparations are underway at an accelerated pace. We have instructed that every initiative connected to the yatra be finalized promptly while upholding quality standards. Our goal is to guarantee that every devotee enjoys a smooth journey and a fulfilling darshan experience," Dhami stated.
The Chief Minister underscored the significance of safety and environmental responsibility, expressing optimism that the pilgrimage will be safe, smooth, and positive in every aspect.
He emphasized the importance of making the yatra plastic-free and maintaining high levels of cleanliness along the route.
Referring to an appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dhami encouraged pilgrims from across the nation to adhere to all guidelines associated with the yatra.
"The Prime Minister has called upon all pilgrims to maintain cleanliness, respect the yatra's regulations, contribute to environmental protection, and display appropriate conduct. These principles are essential to follow," he added.
The Chief Minister mentioned that preparations are being executed in partnership with all stakeholders, including the administration, public representatives, and tirth purohits, whose insights are being utilized to ensure effective management of the pilgrimage.
"We are progressing through collective efforts. All stakeholders play a crucial role in organizing the yatra, and their suggestions are taken earnestly," he remarked.
Dhami also stated that he is personally overseeing the preparations and conducting frequent reviews to ensure that no detail is overlooked.
He assured that the state government is fully equipped to manage the influx of pilgrims.
"We will ensure that no devotee experiences any inconvenience. Arrangements are being made to provide pilgrims with proper darshan and quality meals during their visit," he assured.
The Kedarnath Yatra is slated to commence with the temple's doors opening on April 22 at 8 a.m., and the pilgrimage season is expected to last until around November (Bhai Dooj), when the shrine closes for winter.
Registration for the yatra began in early March through the official Uttarakhand government portal, and it is mandatory for all pilgrims.
Additionally, offline registration counters are set to open from mid-April to assist devotees.
Authorities have advised pilgrims to complete their registration ahead of time and adhere to all guidelines to ensure effective crowd management during peak season.
The Kedarnath Yatra, part of the larger Char Dham pilgrimage circuit, draws millions of devotees annually, and the state government has enhanced arrangements this year with a focus on safety, sustainability, and improved facilities for pilgrims.
