Bhopal, May 14 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, proclaimed on Wednesday that the railway industry has experienced remarkable advancements over the past decade, thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister highlighted that numerous elements of contemporary trains, such as the Metro and Vande Bharat, are produced domestically, showcasing exemplary success stories in line with the ‘Made in India’ initiative.
These statements were made during his visit to the BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited) workshop in Bengaluru. BEML is set to manufacture rolling stock and metro coaches in Madhya Pradesh.
He further mentioned that the relationship between Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh will be fortified, and new opportunities for collaborative growth will be pursued.
During the visit, the Chief Minister presented the land allotment letter for establishing BEML’s new rolling stock production unit in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, situated near Bhopal.
Yadav characterized the establishment of BEML's facility in Madhya Pradesh as an unprecedented venture, stating that the initiation of a metro and rail coach manufacturing unit is crucial for the inclusive and sustainable development of the state.
“This initiative will enhance the industrial ecosystem of both the state and the nation, creating new job opportunities and entrepreneurial avenues for the youth,” asserted Chief Minister Yadav.
He also mentioned that the state government has sanctioned 60.63 hectares of land for the proposed unit, which will produce rolling stock and metro coaches for significant railway and urban transport projects.
Initially, the unit will concentrate on manufacturing stainless steel car body coaches, with future plans to broaden its capabilities.
The plant will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure designed not just to fulfill domestic needs but also to accommodate global market demands.
The project will be executed in phases, ensuring strategic and sustainable operations.
