Putta Mahesh Kumar, along with former Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Rohit Reddy and nine others, were apprehended by Telangana’s Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) during a raid on Rohit Reddy’s farmhouse on Saturday night.
Police reports reveal that five individuals, including Rohit Reddy, tested positive for drugs during a urine analysis conducted on all attendees. Subsequently, Putta Mahesh also tested positive in a blood examination.
Individuals who tested positive include Rohit Reddy, Putta Mahesh Kumar, Namith Sharma, Ritesh Reddy, Koushik Ravi, and Tiruveedula Arjun Reddy.
After receiving notices from the police, Putta Mahesh and seven others were released on station bail.
Rohit Reddy, alongside his brother Ritesh Reddy and businessman Namith Sharma—who allegedly fired a revolver during the police raid—were presented before a magistrate on Sunday night.
A case has been lodged at Moinabad Police Station under various sections of the NDPS Act, Arms Act, and Telangana State Excise Act.
