Threatening Calls Received by RJD MLA Mukesh Raushan

Patna, Dec 16 (NationPress) Mukesh Raushan, the RJD MLA from Mahua Assembly constituency, faced a disturbing situation on Monday as he reportedly received death threats, which have escalated the existing tensions within the political landscape of Bihar.
The threatening communications originated from a person who introduced himself as Manish Chaudhary, allegedly hailing from Uttar Pradesh.
This unsettling event transpired on Monday evening and has been duly reported to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Patna.
Manish Chaudhary utilized WhatsApp to make four threatening calls to Mukesh Raushan, originating from the number 7417173317.
During these calls, Chaudhary not only issued threats against the MLA but also employed abusive language, attempting to instill fear.
He further threatened to set fire to Mukesh Raushan's office located in the Vaishali district.
These threats emerge at a particularly sensitive time, as the MLA is grieving the recent death of his father, who was tragically murdered by criminals.
In response to the threatening calls, Mukesh Raushan promptly notified Patna SSP Rajiv Mishra.
The SSP has recommended that the MLA file a formal written complaint to kickstart an official investigation into this alarming incident.
Authorities are anticipated to trace the caller and ascertain the motives behind these threats.
Recently, the MLA gained media attention after he was visibly emotional when RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav hinted at running in the upcoming Assembly election from the Mahua constituency.
Mukesh Raushan, currently serving as the Mahua MLA, has openly conveyed his concerns regarding the potential loss of his party nomination in the next Assembly elections.
He expressed his readiness to abide by any decision made by the party, but also mentioned the possibility of returning to his medical career if excluded from the political arena.
This incident raises significant concerns regarding the safety of public officials in Bihar.
With the increasing political and social unrest in the state, such threats not only jeopardize individual lives but also foster an environment of fear and coercion.
In the past, Purnea's MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, received numerous life-threatening calls and messages from as far as Pakistan, Nepal, Dubai, and Malaysia.
