Varanasi, Jan 22 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to provide complimentary meals for Sanskrit university students and hospital attendants in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi has garnered heartfelt appreciation from the students of Rani Padmavati Tara Yog Tantra Mahavidyalaya.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust has been providing free meals to thousands every day, and the students have conveyed their gratitude for this generous act, which has not only enhanced their well-being but also allowed them to concentrate better on their studies.

Launched in October 2024, this initiative seeks to assist students and attendants by offering them nutritious and easily digestible meals. For many students at the college, this has proven to be a significant advantage.

Pushpendra Pandey, a Sanskrit student, expressed his delight regarding the initiative: "I am very happy about this. With Baba Vishwanath’s grace, we receive food every morning, and in the evening, there is a special ritual after which we dine. The meals are not just nutritious but also easy on the stomach. I would like to extend my thanks to PM Modi and Baba Vishwanath for their kindness."

Another student, Kamal, shared similar sentiments, emphasizing the convenience and advantages of the program. "Previously, we lacked such facilities. However, now, with easily digestible, pure meals, we can avoid spending time on cooking. This allows us to focus more on our studies, and for that, we are extremely grateful to the Prime Minister."

Bablu Kumar Jha, who traveled nearly 500 kilometers to study in Varanasi, highlighted how the free food initiative has saved him precious time.

"Earlier, I invested about three to four hours preparing my meals. Now, thanks to the prasad from Kashi Vishwanath, I can save that time and devote it to my studies. This initiative is particularly beneficial for underprivileged students who cannot bear the costs of cooking and purchasing ingredients. This free provision is truly a blessing."

The initiative also offers substantial support for students from across India and neighboring countries.

Dr. Kamlesh Jha, Principal of Rani Padmavati Tara Yoga Tantra Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, voiced his profound gratitude to PM Modi for his vision in preserving the cultural heritage of Kashi.

"The Prime Minister's initiatives have rejuvenated Sanskrit schools, which have been declining under modern educational systems. This program ensures that traditional Gurukuls, attracting students from states like Bihar, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh, as well as neighboring countries like Nepal and Bhutan, continue to flourish."

The students and faculty at the college collectively express their gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, acknowledging his efforts to guarantee that no student, regardless of their background or financial situation, is deprived of a nourishing meal while pursuing their education in Varanasi.
