Begusarai, April 13 (NationPress) The residents of Begusarai have expressed their appreciation for the Modi-led Union government for significantly improving their lives through various Central welfare initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Beneficiaries from both urban and rural sectors within the district have voiced their gratitude towards PM Modi.
Among those who benefited are Kamo Devi, Pramila Devi, Renu Devi, and Rita Devi, all from Municipal Corporation Wards 20 and 40, along with Manoj Sharma from Matihani block.
Those who have availed the PM Awas Yojana in Begusarai shared with IANS, "Our quality of life has seen remarkable improvement thanks to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Previously, living in a kutcha house was a major issue during the rainy season and winter months. We were constantly worried about snake and scorpion bites."
They further stated, "Now that we have a permanent house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, our troubles have been alleviated. We owe a debt of gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating this welfare program."
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which was launched in 2015, is designed to deliver affordable and permanent housing solutions to economically disadvantaged groups, low-income households, and middle-income families across both rural and urban areas in India. By 2023, the initiative aims to finalize the construction of approximately 20 million homes.
Nandan Kumar and Chandan Prasad Singh, both residents of Badalpur village in Matihani block, who have also benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, remarked, "We have gained immensely from the monthly support provided under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Previously, we had to rely on loans from moneylenders to meet our basic needs. Now that we receive Rs 6,000 monthly under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, we have achieved Aatmanirbhar (self-reliance). We no longer need to beg for help."
The financial assistance from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is empowering poor farmers by providing them with economic stability and dignity.
This flagship welfare initiative, launched by the Modi government, offers a financial aid of Rs 6,000 annually (distributed in three installments of Rs 2,000 each) directly into farmers' bank accounts.
