During a virtual meeting with senior administrative officials and district collectors, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of establishing procurement centers within the designated timeline, ensuring that all essential facilities are available.
Additionally, he highlighted the necessity of adequately training the staff involved in the procurement process and called for regular meetings of the District Procurement Committees to swiftly address any issues.
Farmers should also receive updated information in a straightforward and accessible format, the Chief Minister noted during the meeting.
“In the meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stressed that only those collectors who deliver effective performance across all district activities will remain in their positions, a principle that will also apply to all officers and staff,” as stated by the Chief Minister’s Office.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister provided directives regarding the setup of video conferencing (VC) facilities in the districts and ordered immediate completion of arrangements in the Alirajpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Balaghat, and Bhopal districts.
This VC setup is intended to facilitate communication among officials and public representatives from various departments, reaching down to the Panchayat level, thereby improving reviews of developmental and public welfare initiatives.
The state government has announced that wheat procurement will take place from March 16 to May 5 in the Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, and Narmadapuram divisions, while in the remaining divisions of Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa, Shahdol, Chambal, and Sagar, it will run from March 23 to May 12.
Farmers must complete their registrations for the procurement process by March 7.
During the session, the Chief Minister also outlined necessary guidelines for preparing a ‘vision document’ at the Assembly constituency level.
He urged officials to promptly counter any false or misleading information regarding governance and administrative matters at the district level.
