Following the launch event, which is anticipated to commence around 12 noon, the Prime Minister will address a gathering of the public. A key highlight of this visit is the inauguration of the Vaishali–Deoria railway line project, a significant investment of over Rs 400 crore aimed at enhancing railway infrastructure.
Moreover, a new train service on this route will be inaugurated, alongside the launch of the Patliputra-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express, which will travel through Muzaffarpur and Bettiah, marking a transformative step in high-speed rail connectivity for North Bihar.
As part of the ‘Make in India – Make for the World’ initiative, PM Modi will also flag off the inaugural export locomotive produced at the Marhowra Plant, intended for the Republic of Guinea. This locomotive is equipped with state-of-the-art features, including high-horsepower engines, advanced AC propulsion, regenerative braking, and microprocessor-based controls.
Aligning with his dedication to Ganga rejuvenation, the Prime Minister will open six new Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) under the Namami Gange program, with a combined investment of Rs 1,800 crore. These initiatives aim to significantly diminish pollution and enhance sanitation across towns in Bihar.
Additionally, he will lay the groundwork for STPs, sanitation, and water supply projects exceeding Rs 3,000 crore in various towns, ensuring safe and clean drinking water for numerous households.
In a stride toward renewable energy efficiency, PM Modi will initiate the foundation for a 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). These independent storage units will be installed across 15 substations, including Siwan, Muzaffarpur, Bettiah, and Motihari, with individual capacities ranging from 20 MWh to 80 MWh.
Continuing his support for housing for all, the Prime Minister will disburse the first installment of aid to over 53,600 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U).
