Jodhpur, March 18 (NationPress) During his visit to Jodhpur on Tuesday, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa firmly rejected BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya's call for a prohibition on loudspeakers, labeling it as "misguided and inappropriate".

This marked the first occasion where Bairwa addressed the concerns raised by the MLA from Hawa Mahal. He highlighted that his party values and respects culture, stating, "While opinions may differ, we choose not to engage in abusive language."

Acharya had expressed worries about the noise produced by loudspeakers, asserting that it leads to headaches and migraines, particularly affecting students who are studying for competitive exams. He presented a memorandum to Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju Joseph, requesting intervention. Although Cabinet Minister Jogaram Patel initially backed the proposal, Deputy CM Bairwa has since distanced himself from it, deeming the position as "against culture and traditions."

Bairwa also refuted claims made by BJP MLA Revant Ram Danga, who accused the Rajasthan government of hindering his developmental projects while giving preference to those associated with Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal. Bairwa affirmed that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is committed to ensuring fair development throughout the state, stating, "Better governance is being delivered in Rajasthan than what people could have imagined."

In response to Cabinet Minister Kirori Lal Meena's recent endorsement of the Rajasthan policemen's boycott, Bairwa recognized Meena as a senior party member but disagreed with his statements, labeling them as "incorrect."

Previously, Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasara sharply criticized Acharya's loudspeaker comments, expressing, "It is our misfortune that such individuals have reached the Assembly. The public did not elect them to divide Hindus and Muslims."

In a video from an Advocates' conference in Jaipur, Acharya characterized loudspeakers as a "nuisance," claiming that the loud sounds generated "five times a day" result in health problems. "I am bringing this matter to the lawyers on my behalf. Many of us are afflicted with migraines and headaches. Please address this issue so we can be liberated from this five-times-a-day headache," he stated.
