New Delhi, March 30 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh declared on Monday that while the consumption of meat and fish will remain permissible, a stringent ban on cow slaughter will be enforced if his party gains power in West Bengal. He also expressed strong support for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, regarding his leadership as a "golden phase" for the state.
Addressing reporters, BJP leader Singh emphasized that his party aims to implement a cow slaughter ban while ensuring that individuals' preferences for meat and fish are not interfered with.
"We will prohibit cow slaughter, but the consumption of meat and fish will continue. Our priority will be to safeguard the interests of Hindus who have been overlooked until now," he stated.
The Union Minister took a bold stance against the government led by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal, attributing law and order problems in regions like Murshidabad and Basirhat to its policies.
"The issues in Murshidabad and Basirhat stem from the policies of the Mamata government," Singh asserted.
