However, police intervened, preventing their entry based on court directives.
Officers had been stationed at the university following alerts about Manoj's anticipated visit.
Subsequently, Manoj visited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's hometown, Naravaripalli, where he met his son and state minister Nara Lokesh.
The couple spent around 20 minutes with the minister, after which they traveled to A. Rangampeta to engage in an animal fair.
According to Manoj's associates, he intended to return to the university later in the evening to pay his respects at the samadhi of his grandparents.
Law enforcement has implemented precautionary measures to avert any potential disturbances, given that Mohan Babu and his other son, actor Manchu Vishnu, were already present at the university.
Both Mohan Babu and Vishnu have been in Tirupati for several days to celebrate the Sankranti festivities.
The family of the veteran actor has been embroiled in a conflict for over a month, highlighted by a confrontation at their residence in Jalpally, Hyderabad, on December 10.
